Hi, I’m Amanda Schmit and I’m a Seabreeze High senior, preparing to graduate and go to college. My major is marine science with a minor in photography. I want to take photos of and study creatures in the sea, specially whales and sharks. I also love polar bears and want to work on projects to keep them from going extinct. I participates in Special Olympics, which is one of my favorite things I’ve done in high school. I am in theatre, and love to act. Outside of school, I am on a bowling league. I am also a pursuing a career in modeling and hope to move overseas eventually. I love to write and in my free time I enjoy writing little poems.
Children's Poem
Keep the Bees Safe!
By: Amanda Schmit
All of my friends are scared of the bees,
sure they sting,
but they only please
to be left alone.
In science I learned,
how they earned
their place,
with grace,
on Earth.
Keepers
of the flowers and trees.
Working with the breeze,
carrying pollen
all in
their little hairy legs.
From plant to plant,
dropping some here
and there,
making me sneeze,
but also helping me breath.
I care about the bees,
flowers, and trees.
So please,
keep the bees
safe and at ease!
