Screams filling the air
High-pitched screams fill the air
Causing me to be more aware;
I see ladies crying and hugging their beloved babies,
They look to me with eyes full of love and hope,
Just waiting for a reply,
Hoping maybe one day their voices will be heard.
Screams fill the air
The people stand outside in the devilish heat, sweat dripping down their tense faces
They know that the end is near, but it feels like just the beginning
Standing up for what they believe and accepting no defeat
Nothing can destroy what they know is right
What they are fighting so passionately for
Other opinions stand no choice of survival
For the hope that one day they may be heard
Screams slowly drifting into the distance
People start to run.
They are punished for protesting and standing up or what they believe in
Screams disperse and sweat pools on the ground Blood drips down their bodies and their faces are streamed with tears
The children were screaming and shouting in the streets
Screaming their parents’ names
They got lost in the cluster hoping to be found
No one deserves this hate and malice.
Not the police, not the protestors and definitely not the innocent
Standing up for what you believe in will always be a challenge,
and that Is a protest.
