What Does Space Really Look Like To Me
She wraps herself in gold and colors of the wind, no one will ever understand the way she moves on the dance floor. That’s why every time I think of her I smile, she brings joy and something to hold onto. Yes, we have science that can explain 55% of why she is that way she is but it is the other 45% that keeps me holding on. There will always be a ‘what if’ with her and maybe that shooting star will mean something one day. She is prideful. She knows how beautiful she is. She’ll say to the stars “Everyone is here to see me.” The stars call her mom, the planets call her master and I call her home. For me, space means silence from a noisy world, rooftop sitting, and the tissue I will always need when things just aren't right. She makes me smile and dance like a wild child when she rains down, but that’s just the relationship we have. Seeing space through my eyes would be like a theoretical physicist grad student open up Einstein’s brain and diving in. No one will ever understand the full reason as to why space looks different to me than the other guy, but that's okay.
