Children's Poem
The Lonely Star
By: Veronica Montgomery
At the edge of a dark universe
A lonely stars sits and wonders
Why he has no planets who hover
Ice and rock soar past without a word
And time is passing and he is getting old
This star so sad begins to bawl
And suddenly he begins to fall
He explodes with colors
And expands into the dark around him
No longer is he a star
He is a nebula filled with many new stars
For the first time he is not alone
With his new friends he feels at home
